Design Thinking Challenge: Special Olympics

Purpose: Specifically foster students' developing sense of empathy, and overall to learn about design thinking. Students will learn to immerse themselves in learning from experts.

***NOTE FOR PARENTS: All DLI packets will be due on Tuesday each week, along with a paragraph written by your student showing they can apply the skills practiced in the packet. They will not have DLI Tests this year although I will be collecting their paragraphs each month to assess their skills.

*Vocab Packets will be differentiated and given out this week. Students will be given two weeks to complete their vocabulary packets while practicing those skills. They will then be assessed on their vocab words every other Wednesday. Their first Vocab test will be on September 7th.

*We will continue reading Out of My Mind and start applying differentiated skills to practice along with the story on Tuesday.
